About Gavin Penny
Born and raised in London, Gavin came to the U.S. as an international student and NCAA Division II men’s soccer player at Nyack College. A four-year starter, he helped lead the program through its most successful period in history — winning two conference championships, earning an NCAA national tournament appearance, and collecting numerous individual accolades. He later completed his CPA and went on to earn an MBA at Husson University.
Over the past 12 years, Gavin has coached at the college level, building a nationwide network of coaches and staff while mentoring student-athletes through both academic and athletic challenges. This experience has given him a unique perspective — understanding what colleges and athletic programs are looking for, and how to help students position themselves for success.
Today, as our principal consultant, Gavin combines his coaching background, professional expertise, and one-to-one commitment to guide both athletes and non-athletes toward their best-fit college. Similar to his coaching days, his focus isn’t on numbers or quotas, but on relationships. Every student he works with receives personal attention and a plan built just for them.
